The Howe Writing Group

Are you a writer looking to improve your craft or connect with other writers? Join our biweekly writing group! Run by a traditionally published author, this will be a comfortable, welcoming environment where you can share and get feedback on your work.
This group is open to all types, ages, and stages of writers, so feel free to bring a poem, essay, short story, chapter from a memoir or novel, or nothing at all. If you do have something to share, please arrive with six printed copies of your work (limited to 1300 words or around five double-spaced pages).
(Writers working on a novel in hopes of one day being traditionally published should check out The Howe Critique group!)
The Howe Writing Group will meet in person every other Monday from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Aldrich Room.
The Howe Critique Group

Are you a writer who dreams of one day seeing your book for sale at your local bookstore? Join our biweekly professional critique group! Run by a traditionally published author, this group is intended for writers who have the goal of finishing their manuscript, querying agents, and submitting to publishers. We’ll critique each other’s work, discuss everything from novel and scene structure to pitches and query letters, and gain insights into the state of the publishing industry.
All genres welcome. Please arrive with four printed copies of your work limited to 2500 words or ten double-spaced pages.
(If you’re a poet, essayist, short story writer, or any other kind of writer looking to improve your craft without the goal of being published, please check out The Howe Writing Group!)
The Howe Critique Group will meet in person every other Monday from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Aldrich Room.
This group will begin on MONDAY, JANUARY 12th!
