Book suggestion from the Howe staff: Homer and Langley a novel by E. L. Doctorow
A free imaginative rendering of the lives of New York's fabled Collyer brothers depicts Homer and Langley as recluses in their once grand Fifth Avenue mansion, facing odyssean perils as they struggle to survive the wars, political movements, and technological advances of the last century.

Rapid Reviews: 30 Books in 30 Minutes In the spring of 2009, Howe Library initiated a new program, Rapid Reviews, with four staff reviewing a total of 30 books in 30 minutes. These titles are a lovely mixture of new books, old books, fiction and non-fiction. This program was featured at Hanover Rotary, the Hanover Community Center and is often showed on CATV. We will again offer Rapid Reviews in the spring of 2010 and hope that we may eventually recruit some of our library patrons to be reviewers. See the spring 2009 list of titles.
